This baby shower bingo set is ready to download, with 24 different cards and everything the caller needs. The squares contain familiar words such as baby blanket, board book, booties and rocking chair. The host draws those words from a bowl while guests mark their cards.

You can play before dessert or as the one group game at a Baby in Bloom brunch. It works without a gift-opening session: guests do not need to guess which presents will arrive, buy anything, or answer questions about the parents.

Download the 24-card bingo set

Choose the file that matches the paper in your printer. Both contain the same 24 cards, numbered 01 to 24, plus rules, a master calling list and 48 cut-out calling slips. Each download is a 28-page PDF, with one player card per page.

These are free downloads for personal celebrations, with no sign-up required. Print a card for each person who wants to play, or let guests share in pairs. With twelve players, for example, print pages 1-12 and the four host pages, 25-28. Keep the other cards for a larger gathering or another occasion.

Use less paper with two cards per sheet

The compact set contains the same 24 numbered cards, with two cards on each player sheet and four host pages. Each file has 16 pages. Cut along the dotted card outlines after printing at 100%. The card words are 10.5-point text; choose the larger one-card pages when larger lettering is helpful.

1-12 Cards 01-24, two different cards per sheet
13 Host rules and printing instructions
14 Master calling list
15-16 All 48 cut-out calling slips

For twelve individual players, print compact pages 1-6 and 13-16: ten sheets, including host materials. For twenty-four, print all sixteen sheets. The corresponding larger-card choices use sixteen and twenty-eight sheets. Keep the host pages from the format you chose so the printed page references match.

Every player card has 24 different words and a FREE square in the center. Cards draw from a shared pool of 48 words, so a call may appear on several cards or be missing from yours. Each word appears on twelve of the cards across the full set. This balanced distribution does not guarantee a single winner; two or more guests can complete a line on the same call.

You will need pens, scissors for the host, and a bowl or small bag. If you would like to offer a prize, decide in advance how you will handle a shared win. A few matching small prizes are easier than adding an unexpected tie-breaker.

How to play baby shower bingo

  1. Give out different cards. Check the card numbers so no two players have the same one. Guests playing together use a single card. Everyone marks the center FREE square before the first call.
  2. Prepare all the words. Cut out all 48 slips from the final two pages, fold them alike and mix them in a bowl. The caller keeps the master list and a pen: page 26 in the larger set, or page 14 in the compact set.
  3. Draw and read one slip. Read the whole phrase clearly, show the slip if that helps, and tick it on the calling list. Keep drawn slips outside the bowl so they cannot be called again in that round.
  4. Mark an exact match. If your card contains the called phrase, mark that square. If it does not, wait for the next call. Baby hat is different from baby socks; mark only what was called.
  5. Call Bingo for a line of five. A complete horizontal row, vertical column, or full corner-to-corner diagonal wins. The FREE square counts in any line that passes through the center.
  6. Pause to check the claim. The host checks every word in that line against the words already drawn. If one has not been called, keep playing. If the line is valid, check whether anyone else completed a line on that same call.

Everyone with a valid line on the winning call shares the win. Finish the round once those claims have been checked. Four corners alone do not win in this version, and there is no need to fill the whole card.

For another round, clear every mark or use fresh copies, return all 48 slips to the bowl, and mix them again. If you have only a small number of players, still use the full calling-slip set. Removing words changes which lines can be completed.

The A4 file and Letter file are laid out separately, so choose the matching file before opening the print dialog. Use Actual size or 100%, single-sided printing, and check that the paper setting matches. The PDFs have white card backgrounds, dark text and a lightly shaded free square; they can be printed in color or grayscale.

Print one player page first and check that all five rows and columns are visible. Then print the remaining pages you need. In Acrobat, Adobe’s page-sizing guide explains that Actual size leaves the scale unchanged and can crop content that does not fit the selected paper. If your printer’s non-printable area clips the page, choose Fit and check the first page again before printing the set.

The files have been checked digitally for page size, text boundaries and the contents of every card. We have not made a physical sample print. Your first-page check accounts for your own printer and paper settings.

The complete calling list

The caller can use this list on screen as a reference, although the cut-out slips are useful for drawing words randomly. Use the numbered checkboxes in the PDF to record calls. Do not read down the list in this order during play.

Keep joining in optional

Put the cards and pens where guests can take one without an announcement aimed at any individual. Read each call aloud and allow time to find the square. A player can point to a word while their partner marks it, and the host can show a written slip as well as reading it.

There is no fixed finishing time because the calling order is random. Leave room in the gathering for a round, and avoid starting when the next planned activity is about to begin. For a game with a set time limit, the baby shower games guide includes an original word scramble, a baby-bag memory game and other short options with full instructions.

Give everyone a different card, draw words from the full set of 48 calling slips, and share the win if several players finish on the same call.
