Reading and searching

You do not need an account to read our guides. Our search runs in your browser using a downloaded search index. Search terms are not submitted to a search provider by this website.

Checklists on this device

When you tick a checklist, its selected items are saved in your browser's local storage so they remain available when you return. That checklist data is not sent to us. Use the checklist's Reset button, or clear this site's browser data, to remove it. If browser storage is unavailable, the checklist still works during your visit.

Hosting and technical logs

The site is hosted by Vercel. Requests necessarily include technical information such as an IP address, browser information and requested URL. The hosting provider may process technical logs to deliver and secure the site. See Vercel's privacy policy for its practices.

No advertising trackers at launch

We have not added advertising cookies, third-party marketing trackers or visitor analytics scripts. Fonts and editorial images are served with the site. We do not currently collect newsletter email addresses.

Following the publication

You can follow our RSS feed using a reader of your choice. Your reader's provider may process information under its own privacy policy. External links take you to websites with their own policies.

Changes

If we add email subscriptions, analytics or other services that change how information is handled, this notice will be updated before those features are introduced.
