Our editorial policy

Updated September 10, 2026.

Useful before decorative

A guide should leave you able to begin. We specify the occasion, the intended guest count, a sensible preparation order and practical alternatives. Quantities are estimates and should be adjusted for your menu, guests and local conditions.

Clear authorship and evidence

Launch guides are credited to Fête & Fig Editorial. We do not present fictional people as experts, invented events as first-hand experience, or menu suggestions as tested recipes. When we publish a documented event, its organizer and image sources will be identified.

AI assistance and imagery

We use AI tools to assist with drafts, planning examples and production. Current editorial images are AI-generated concepts and are labeled accordingly. They illustrate a mood; they do not prove an event happened, a recipe was tested, or a product was used.

Original resources

Our checklists, invitation examples and quiz prompts are created for this publication. References may inform an approach, but other publishers' photographs and downloadable designs are not redistributed.

Dates and corrections

Publication dates identify when a guide first appeared. An updated date is added when a substantive revision is made, rather than being refreshed automatically on every site build. We revise factual errors, clarify unclear instructions and retire outdated advice when needed.

Commercial relationships

The launch collection contains no paid sponsorships, affiliate shopping links or paid product placements. Any future paid relationship will be disclosed clearly beside the relevant content.

Food, access and personal preferences

Menus are planning suggestions. Use reliable recipes and supplier instructions for cooking and storage. Check guest requirements directly, label food accurately and make activities optional. A visually appealing setup should still leave room for people to move, sit and talk comfortably.
