Your bridal shower budget

A clear plan for every dollar

Your bridal shower budget worksheet

Use USD throughout. Enter numbers such as 125.50, without a dollar sign or comma. Leave unknown amounts blank; enter 0 only when you mean zero. Include tax, delivery and other agreed charges in each total.

Current plan uses each row's agreed total when entered, otherwise its quote, otherwise its estimate. Paid is part of the agreed total, not an extra expense. Blank categories make an incomplete plan.

Entries stay in this browser on this device. This worksheet does not collect payments, connect to accounts or sync with other hosts. Print or download a snapshot when you want to share it.

Amounts can have up to two decimal places, from 0 to 999999.99. For a refund or cancellation, update the net agreed and net paid totals after confirming the refund. Do not enter negative amounts.

Spending

Eight categories. Summed estimates and quotes can be incomplete; the current plan picks one amount per row.

Host contributions

Promised means the host's whole confirmed contribution, including money already received. Received or applied means money transferred to the shared fund or paid directly to a supplier for this shower. Record a direct supplier payment in Paid above and in that host's received or applied amount here. Do not also count it as a separate transfer.

Four host rows. These are records of your agreement, not requests for money.

A negative fund balance means recorded payments exceed recorded contributions received or applied. Check for an unrecorded host advance or direct payment. Funding still to agree compares the whole current plan with total promises. It does not tell you when cash will arrive.

With a $520.00 cap, the current plan is $475.00 and headroom is $45.00. The agreed total is $300.00, paid is $140.00, and committed still owed is $160.00.

  • Alex: $200.00 promised; $200.00 received or applied.
  • Jamie: $150.00 promised; $50.00 received or applied.
  • Morgan: $100.00 promised; $0.00 received or applied.

The plan needs $25.00 more in agreed contributions. Its $110.00 recorded fund balance is $50.00 short of the unpaid commitments. The $200.00 already promised but not received is a separate collection task.
