Your wrapping paper cut plan
Test-wrap the actual box first, flatten the successful paper rectangle and measure it. This tool compares only two uniform row patterns for identical rectangles. It does not work out paper from box dimensions, combine different box sizes or find a globally optimal mixed layout.
Your measured paper
Choose first. Changing unit asks before clearing the five measurements, so old numbers are not silently reinterpreted. Quantity stays.
Measure usable material after excluding torn or damaged edges. Use the same rectangle size for this entire batch.
For a sheet, use its other dimension. This is one continuous piece of stock; separate scraps are not added together.
Use a real chosen gap, including 0 if cuts share an edge. Quantity: 1–500. Dimensions: greater than 0 to 100,000; gap may be 0. Enter plain decimal numbers.
Check lettering or a directional print. Both arithmetic patterns are shown, but a prohibited rotation cannot become the recommended cut plan.
Enter the tested rectangle and available paper dimensions.

Cropped schematic, not to scale: at most the first two rows and three rectangles in each. It is not a full-size cutting template. Use the measurements in the table.
Use the cut plan with a real sample
- Wrap the real box with a test piece using your intended seam and end folds. Check closure, then flatten and measure the successful rectangle. This planner does not add fold allowance for you.
- Measure one usable roll or sheet. Mark torn edges and leave the cutting gap you chose. Check directional prints before rotating a rectangle.
- Compare both results. “Best” means shortest required length among these two uniform row patterns only. Side strips and mixed-orientation arrangements may have other uses that this calculation does not optimize.
- Save a project before closing. There is no automatic saved copy. A rejected import keeps current entries; populated replacements need confirmation.
- Use the current CSV or print sheet. Match A4 or Letter, portrait, 100% scale, no margins and no browser headers or footers. The cropped diagram illustrates the arrangement, rather than providing a cut-size pattern.
- Cut and test the first rectangle before cutting the batch. Stop if the actual wrap or material behaves differently. The tool cannot confirm a physical wrap, completed download or printed paper.
